Great book, I was thrilled to finally obtain a copy for my military book collection.
Since I am a retired Marine, this book is a replacement for the one I misplaced a few years back.
The story of a Vietnam sniper with 93 confirmed kills is the stuff of legend. Carlos Hathcock is that legend. The story is written to honor him and his memory. Well worth reading
The only read about Gunny Carlos Hatchock USMC Sniper in Nam. A fine man who died from burns sustained when his vehicle was hit by explosive.RIP Gunny
I've read other books & articles on Sgt. Hathcock, this book is very factual.
One of the best books I have ever read. Exceptional man! Glad to have found this edition as my paperback bought 30 years ago has fallen apart. This is a historical read very much worth keeping future generations aware of and knowledgeable about. This is well worth anyone's time and money!
If you've forgotten what a real man is, this is a great reminder. This is the only authorized autobiography of this man. A Marine's Marine and basic founder of the Marine Sniper unit. Hathcock is a legend and his discipline, dedication, strength and integrity is a rare thing today. For those interested in long distance shooting and the shooting sports in general ... that's how he started out.
